Palestinians sent their warm wishes to Hizbullah and its Secretary General Sayed Hassan Nasrallah on Wednesday for getting "Israel" to release prisoners.
Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh congratulated Sayyed Nasrallah and said "the operation represents an immense victory to the resistance track. It proved the righteousness of our ways". Haniyeh also felicitated Samir Kintar's mother-in-adoption for her son's return.

The Hamas movement said Operation al-Redwan was a "victory for the resistance." "It proves that a useful way to liberate prisoners from the jails of the occupation is to capture Zionist soldiers, since the occupation refuses to release prisoners and keeps arresting more of them," spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said in a statement. Hamas vowed to "exert every effort to free our prisoners" and said "Israel" bore sole responsibility for delaying Shalit's return to his family.

The reactions came as "Israel" and Hizbullah were in the process of exchanging the remains of two "Israeli" soldiers captured in 2006 for five Hizbullah detainees and the remains of some 200 Lebanese and Arab martyrs.
Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas welcomed in a brief statement Operation Al-Redwan. "He extends his congratulations to the family of Samir Kintar, the dean of Arab prisoners, and the families of the other released prisoners," it said.

Ziad abu al-Enain, director-general of the Ministry for Prisoner Affairs of the Salam Fayyad government and one of Fatah's senior members, said, "The Palestinians congratulate Hizbullah and its leader and send their best wishes to all the Lebanese people and to all the Palestinians upon the completion of the deal and the release of heroes, headed by the prisoners' leader, Samir Kintar."
He added that processions would be held in the territories Wednesday to express the Palestinians' solidarity following the completion of the Operation al-Redwan.

Abu Mujahed, a spokesman for the Popular Resistance Committees, said that the completion of the deal "even after the images of the "Israeli" soldiers' coffins, proves that detaining soldiers will continue to be the most efficient, favored and ideal way to release Palestinian prisoners, particularly those defined by the enemy as having blood on their hands." According to Abu Mujehad, the Palestinian resistance will continue to work to capture soldiers in order to release detainees.
