Brigadier General Amir Hatami, Iran’s Defense Minister, reiterated that holding negotiations on the country’s missile and defense power is out of the question.

General Hatami underlined that Iran must maintain the high level of its strategic power. He made his remarks while peaking at a meeting in the city of Yazd on Tuesday.

Dismissing the enemy’s calls for the elimination of Iran’s sustainable power and missile capabilities, the defense minister made it clear that the Islamic Republic’s defense power is by no means negotiable.

The general also highlighted the great capabilities of the Defense Ministry in various fields, saying it can help local automotive industries to cut 90 percent of reliance on foreigners.

In a related notion, Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei has reiterated on various occasions that Iran’s defense capabilities and power are not subject to negotiations.

“We will have no bargaining and dealing with the enemy over the country’s means of defense and over whatever provides or supports the national power,” Imam Khamenei said in October 2017.

The adversaries are opposed to the enhancement of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s power in the region and beyond, because such power constitutes the “strategic depth of the Islamic Establishment,” the Leader had explained.
