Zarif: Gone Is Era of Polarization of Power

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said power is distributed in the world and polarization of power is over.
'One group cannot make decisions for the whole world now, and that a big mistake to think that there are superpowers in the world,' Zarif said in a ceremony to commemorate 20th anniversary of Khorasan Newspaper in Tehran.
He further noted that the agreement between Iran and Turkey in Astana decreased tension in Syria, what the US and Russia couldn’t have done in two years.
“The presence of Iran and Turkey in Astana Talks resulted in daily decrease of clashes in Syria and led the country to peace, which shows Iran's power in the region.”
“Power is at the hands of everyone in the world in a way that the media giants and so-called big countries are not the only sources of power anymore,” Zarif stressed.
The Iranian diplomat further added that the instruments of power to form feelings and approaches in the society have varied.
“Resistance is inevitable to defeat invasion but the factor that brings about victory is creating public hatred of the invaders.”
Regarding the power of media, Zarif concluded that “Media can present words as the factor of glory or the other way round because everyone is a medium now and using it.”
