Iran: Suicide Attack in Chabahar, at least Three Martyred
Iranian southeastern city of Chabahar, located in the Sistan-Balouchestan Province, was hit with a suicide attack that has so far left at least three martyrs.
In further details, an explosives-laden vehicle went off in the area.
Several local media outlets reported the blast in the province’s largest port city.
Meanwhile, the incident, which took place near Chabahar's police headquarters in Shahid Rigi Boulevard, was confirmed by Mohammad Hadi Marashi, the deputy security chief of the province.
"This morning a bomb inside a car exploded near a police station in Chabahar and four people were injured. The suicide attacker set off the explosion after stopping at police headquarters in Chabahar", an informed source told the Islamic Republic News Agency [IRNA].
A shooting was also registered near the explosion site, local media added.
Iranian authorities have not identified the perpetrator yet, and no militant group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
