Hundreds of Ethiopian Jews assembled in Ethiopia’s capital city of Addis Ababa in protest of the Zionist government’s failure to follow through on immigration “promises.”

The Falashmuras claim to be descendants of Ethiopian Jews, and they have long fought for the right to settle in the “Israeli”-occupied territories, even though the Zionist regime does not recognize them as such.

The Zionist regime -- which settled tens of thousands of Jews from the African nation in the 1980s and 1990s -- considers that process to be complete and applies a restrictive immigration policy for non-Jews.

In Addis Ababa Monday, a community leader told demonstrators that they should reconsider voting for Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Likud party for failing to deliver on the 2015 promise to let them immigrate.

“I urge Ethiopian Jews to think twice before voting for the Likud party, because the party’s leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, is not keeping his words to help us emigrate to “Israel”,” said Neggousa Zemene Alemu, head coordinator of the Ethiopian Jews in the Ethiopian cities of Addis Ababa and Gondar.

“I don’t believe the “Israeli” government has a financial problem to bring the remaining Ethiopian Jews back to “Israel”,” he added. “I rather think it is a political move or racism.”
