The British parliament will vote down Prime Minister Theresa May’s draft Brexit deal so she will have to go back to the European Union for a different deal, one of her former Brexit minister David Davis said on Friday.

She, however, repeatedly refused on Friday to rule out allowing her senior ministers to get as so called free vote, which allows lawmakers to vote against the wishes of their party, on the draft Brexit deal.

When asked whether her cabinet will get a free vote, May said: “We will be looking at the deal when it comes back. There is cabinet collective responsibility in this country. Government policy is government policy.”

“The policy we have to deal with is going to be rejected I think by the House of Commons. Then the prime minister has to come up with an alternative,” Davis said.

He, however, declined to speak about his views on May’s future, saying that as he was outside the United Kingdom it was not correct to comment.
