As soon as Zionist war minister Avigdor Lieberman announced his resignation on Wednesday, Palestinians celebrated victory by distributing sweets on the streets in different areas of the Gaza Strip. The victory was achieved by the Palestinian resistance which made the Zionist enemy learn a lesson about the power of deterrence.
Palestinians raised photos on which the following expressions were written: “Lieberman Falls, Gaza Remains”, and “Gaza Topples Lieberman”. Gazans also took to the streets in a march towards the house of Hamas’ Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyah west Gaza where they burned Lieberman’s photos.
Before taking up his duties as a war minister in May, 2016, Lieberman blustered to remove Hamas’ rule in Gaza and assassinate Haniyah. However, the war minister was topples by the Palestinian resistance given the latest aggression against Gaza.
In this regard, member of Islamic Jihad Political Bureau, Walid al-Qetati considered that “Lieberman’s resignation wasn’t apart from the resistance’s victory in the latest Zionist aggression, and it reveals the Zionist failure starting from uncovering the Zionist unit east Khan Yunis and ending with the ceasefire.”
He further stressed that the Zionist deterrence theory became void in the face of the Palestinian resistance that imposed a new equation in favor of the Palestinian cause.
The man added that “Lieberman wants to escape a failing government and hold Zionist PM Benjamin Netanyahu the responsibility.”
On the “Israeli” level, the “The Jewish Home” party quickly demanded that the War Ministry be given to its Chief and Information Minister Naftali Bennett soon after Lieberman announced his resignation.
Relatively, Chief of “The Jewish Home” Bloc, Shuli Mualem said it is time to hand the “security” ministry to Bennett.”
For his part, Member of the “Israeli” Knesset Moti Yogev said he believes the resignation is to escape responsibility.
