US Pentagon officials were involved in planning the new US-Saudi attack on Yemen’s Red Sea port city of al-Hudaydah, the Intelligence Online website said on Thursday.

The Pentagon provided Saudi Arabia and the UAE with vital information to launch the new attack on al-Hudaydah, the website said, adding that "Pentagon officials met in Riyadh with Saudi and Emirati commanders to plan the attack. Washington handed over two more surveillance planes to Riyadh before the attack on al-Hudaydah."

This comes in the context of the policy of aggression carried out by the Saudi and Emirate regimes and the US administration against the people of al-Hudaydah.

Many civilians have either lost their lives or sustained injuries, and infrastructure were destroyed since the new escalation by the US-Saudi escalation to overtake the strategic city.

This escalation continues aimed international silence and complicity.

Saudi Arabia and a number of its regional allies launched a devastating military campaign against Yemen in March 2015.

According to a new report by the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project [ACLED], the Saudi-led war has so far claimed the lives of around 56,000 Yemenis.
