Bodies of more than 1,500 civilians were newly-discovered in a mass grave in Syria's northern province of Raqqa, the former de facto capital of the terrorist Daesh group [the Arabic acronym for terrorist ‘ISIS/ISIL’].
Citing medical sources, al-Watan newspaper said the bodies belong to civilians who had been killed by the strikes of the US-led coalition on Raqqa.
The paper added that the bodies of 4,000 civilians have so far appeared in mass graves in Raqqa, noting that more bodies are being unearthed on daily basis.
