“Israel” Admits 200+ Strikes against Syria over 18 Month

The “Israeli” military has admitted that over the past 18 months it carried out more than 200 strikes in Syria.

The “Israeli” army said on Tuesday said that it carried out attacks against at least 202 ‘Iranian targets’ on its neighbor’s soil. Overall, some 792 bombs and missiles were launched at Syria since 2017, the “Israeli” army said on Tuesday during a special briefing with the military correspondents.

Summarizing the so-called “achievements” over the past year, “Israeli” Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot issued a “highly confidential” report to the political echelon about the “Competence and Preparedness of the “Israeli” army”, the military stressed that Iran is still determined to smuggle in weapons and establish air bases as well as intelligence capabilities in Syria.

“Only just now it was published -- in the name of military sources, so I can quote it too -- that in the last two years “Israel” has taken military action more than 200 times within Syria itself,” “Israeli” Intelligence Minister Yisrael Katz told a conference hosted by the IDC Herzliya College on Tuesday.

Katz claimed that most of the targets belonged to Iran, adding, “Understand the significance of this matter in terms of preserving the red line, preventing the things that Iran has done, is doing and is trying to do against “Israel” from Syria.”

Meanwhile, the “Israeli” army also noted that Hezbollah remains a major threat.
