US National Security Adviser John Bolton will visit the “Israeli” entity for “talks” next week, the White House said Tuesday.

A top security aide to President Donald Trump, Bolton is set to visit the “Israeli” entity as part of a tour that will also take him to Ukraine and Geneva, where he will follow up with Russian officials on Trump’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin last month, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said.s

Sanders did not elaborate on the nature of talks in the entity and there was no immediate confirmation of Bolton’s visit from al-Quds [Jerusalem].

It will be the first visit to the “Israeli” entity by Bolton since his appointment as National Security Adviser in March. Bolton is known for his strong support for the entity and his hostility to Iran, and once said the idea of a so-called two-state solution to the “Israeli”-Palestinian conflict is dead.

On Monday, a Trump administration official told Haaretz that the White House “supports Egypt’s efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza” and would support a viable agreement between the sides whether or not it includes a reconciliation of rival Palestinian factions Hamas and the Palestinian Authority.

Bolton was known as a sharp-tongued and controversial UN ambassador during former president George W. Bush's administration who virulently defended the “Israeli” entity.

In 2009 he wrote in The Washington Post that the idea of a so-called two-state solution to the decades-long “Israeli”-Palestinian conflict was "stillborn" and suggested giving the Palestinian territories between Egypt and Jordan.

"We should look to a 'three-state' approach, where Gaza is returned to Egyptian control and the West Bank in some configuration reverts to Jordanian sovereignty," he said at the time.

"Any two-state solution based on the PA (Palestinian Authority) is stillborn," he wrote.
