The air defenses of the Syrian Arab Army just after midnight intercepted a hostile air target that violated the airspace over the area of Deir al-Ashayer in the western countryside of Damascus near the Syrian-Lebanese borders, Syria’s state news agency SANA reported Saturday.

"Our air defenses confronted an enemy target that penetrated airspace above the area of Deir al-Ashair in the Damascus countryside," SANA said.

On August 2^nd, the air defenses of the Syrian Arab Army confronted another hostile air target to the west of Damascus.
