Germany is reportedly involved in negotiations with Hamas resistance movement over the release of two “Israeli” captives and two bodies of “Israeli” Occupation Force [IOF] soldiers, according to London-based Arabic newspaper Al-Hayat.

Germany was ‘engaged’ in indirect negotiations between the Zionist entity and Hamas over a possible prisoner exchange deal under which four “Israeli” prisoners would be released in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, according to the report.

Hamas resistance movement killed soldiers Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul were killed by Hamas during the Zionist entity’s Operation Protective Edge in 2014, and their bodies have been held since.

In addition the bodies of two other “Israeli” settlers -- Avera Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed -- who entered Gaza during periods of poor mental health in 2014 and 2015 respectively, may also be held captive by Hamas.

Germany reportedly held meetings and maintained relationships with Hamas contacts from their role in the successful negotiation for the release of Gilad Shalit in 2011 -- 5 years after the “Israeli” soldier was kidnapped -- in a swap for over one thousand Palestinian prisoners detained in the occupied territories, Al-Hayat reported from Western sources.
