Trump: The President Who Not Only Loots Arab Oil But Determines Its Quantity & Price

If in recent years, the US looted Arab crude through its oil companies, determined its price as well as which companies get to loot and which are to be prohibited in accordance with American economic calculations, today in the greedy American Trumpan era, Washington is using Arab oil as a political weapon that serves its interests and that of its spoiled ally, “Israel”. It is using this oil as an “Israeli” weapon amid its struggle with Iran.

US President Donald Trump was not being ostentatious when he announced that Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz accepted to increase the kingdom’s oil production by one million barrels per day. Those figures were reported by international news agencies while Trump claimed that the increase amounted to two million bpd.

That is because Trump knows his demands will not be rejected by the Saudis, who view the former’s orders as commands that must be fulfilled rather than mere requests.

The Saudis also know that saying “No” to the ruler of the White House will be costly for the kingdom as has been the practice for decades when the White House was governed by moderate American presidents who were respected in Riyadh’s ruling circles. So what would be the cost for Saudi Arabia if it dared to say “no” at a time when the occupant of the White House is the harshest and most arrogant president in US history?

Following a phone call with the Saudi King on Saturday, Trump tweeted: "Just spoke to King Salman of Saudi Arabia and explained to him that, because of the turmoil & dysfunction in Iran and Venezuela, I am asking that Saudi Arabia increase oil production, maybe up to 2,000,000 barrels, to make up the difference...Prices too high! He has agreed!"

For its part, Riyadh did not find it necessary to announce the call as it seemed embarrassed to disclose what was agreed by the two leaders. It simply published a vague and shy news report with its official news agency [SPA], which stated that [the two leaders stressed the need to make efforts to maintain the stability of oil markets and the growth of the global economy, in addition to the efforts of producing countries to compensate for any potential shortage in supplies.]

This means that the US request or “order” directed at the kingdom, which came just days after the OPEC agreement to increase production by up to 700 thousand barrels per day due to US pressure, is the result of purely political calculations. It is not only the result of US economic accounts but political accounts hostile towards Iran and Venezuela. Trump, who appears to be the actual ruler of OPEC – as one Middle Eastern leader said a few days ago – is pressuring his allies with a number of oil-importing countries to boycott Iranian and Venezuelan oil. He used his demand to overcome the potential oil shortage in world markets because of the supposed boycott. He could not find anyone to covers these shortfalls and meet the American request or "order", other than the compliant Saudi partner.

It also means that Trump is fighting the Iranian opponent in favor of “Israel”, which occupies Arab lands including al-Quds and tramples day and night on the sanctity of the al-Aqsa Mosque, using American money and oil, not even “Israeli” money, but with precisely Arab and Saudi money and oil.

In other words, the Arab oil has become a weapon that Arab rulers generously give to their enemies under the guise of "America's protectionism," which eventually bounces back at their necks; not their necks but those of the Arab people.

Trump, who always has his calculator handy when planning his next move, has not and will not be merely satisfied with blackmailing his Arab partners, plundering their oil and financial wealth and humiliating them over the subject of protecting them from the Iranian boogeyman, just as he was not content with the half a trillion dollars that he got from Riyadh last year. He will continue to blackmail his Arab partners and humiliate them. He will continue to milk the Arab cow until the last drop of milk. He will push through his dangerous project, the Deal of the Century, to obliterate the Palestinian cause as long as the Arab rulers continue to bow their heads to the American ruler, applaud his [deal] and sell him their wealth and political and sovereign will.
