Al-Jaafari: US, Britain, France Worked to Pressure the Syrian Government
Local Editor
Syria's Permanent Envoy to the United Nations Bashar al-Jaafari said the United States, Britain and France worked to ensure that the report of the United Nations Secretary-General on the implementation of resolution 2139 is a political tool pressing the Syrian government to implement the agendas of these countries to intervene in the internal affairs of the Syrian state and destabilize its security and stability.
Al-Jaafari said it was necessary to hold the report drafters accountable for their violations of the provisions of Security Council resolutions on combating terrorism.
"They have named Al-Nusra Front, Hayat Tahrir Al Sham, and other affiliated groups as the armed opposition in Idlib. These are groups that were designated as terrorist entities in the Security Council list," he added.
