Imam Khamenei: Shias, Sunnis Stood Together in Hardest Times

In a meeting with officials from southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan Province, Leader of the Islamic Revolution his Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed the importance of Shias and Sunnis to stand together.
"The martyrdom of a Sunni teenager during Iraqi-imposed war (1980-88) or a Sunni cleric (Molavi) in Iran indicates that Shia and Sunni are standing by each other even in the hardest eras," Imam Khamenei said.
In his remarks, the Leader further stressed vigilance against enemies' divisive measures, saying: "Iran's steadfastness in the face of foreign conspiracies depends on the faith and sacrifices of people."
The Leader urged Shias and Sunnis to "discrimination because Iran is a symbol of coexistence".
