A Zionist military court on Monday extended the remand of a 16-year-old Palestinian heroine, who filmed herself slapping ‘Israeli' occupation soldiers, by an additional four days.

Palestinian Heroine Ahed Tamimi, Relatives’ Detentions Extended

Ahed Tamimi's mother Nariman and cousin Nour, who were also featured in the widely shared video, had their detentions extended until Thursday, as well.

In further details, Judge Haim Balilty claimed police testimony according to which the three females were refusing to cooperate with the investigation, alleging that they are seeking charges for a series of provocations the Tamimis carried out over the past several years.

In an earlier sentence, Judge Lidor Drachman of the Judea region Juvenile Military Court claimed that while Tamimi did not pose any danger, concern that the teen would try and obstruct the investigation justified keeping her locked up until next Monday.

Last Wednesday, Tamimi's father, Bassem, received a document summoning him for questioning regarding his daughter's investigation.

He later told Hadashot news that he was proud of his daughter's actions. Dismissing the notion that Ahed had provoked the soldiers, the elder Tamimi stressed that the occupation forces had no right to encroach onto their property in the first place.

"It is our duty to raise our children to be freedom fighters. She believes in what she is doing and will continue doing so until we end the occupation of our land," he added.

Tamimi and two other teenage girls filmed themselves hitting the soldiers, yelling at them and - at one point - slapping one of them across the face.

In the early hours of last Tuesday, ‘Israeli' occupation forces arrested the 16-year-old at her home in Nabi Saleh for her heroic role in Friday's incident.
