TEHRAN-Founder of the Islamic Republic in Iran, the late Imam Khomeini's movement has drawn the admiration of the Muslim world's writers and intellectuals, Alalam reported.
According to the Arabic language network, Al-Motewakkel Taha, the head of Palestinian Writers Institute praised the late Imam Khomeini's movement and said his revolution "is shining in the whole region and has awakened the world of Islam."
Taha said: "When it is said that Ulema (religious scholars) are the Prophets' heirs, it means they can deeply and widely influence human societies."
Ali Aqale Orsan also told Alalam: "The late Imam Khomeini was erudite and influential, and his influence still continues."
Orsan also commended the late Iranian leader for his ability to bind jurisprudence thoughts, the modern political knowledge and the Islamic world's needs with Iran.
"Imam Khomeini's thoughts were the main principles and precepts of Islam and a true understanding of its truths."
He further added: "It was for Imam Khomeini's thoughts and efforts that the Islamic Revolution took place, and this victory has left great influence on Islamic movements and the ideas of dynamic and revolutionary reforms across the world."
In a separate interview with Alalam, Morad al-Sawani, head of the Palestinian Poetry House, said that the Imam's thoughts proved successful and awakened people throughout the world.
He said: "Imam Khomeini's thoughts underline the original principles and ideology of Islam."
Ayatollah Sayyed Ruhollah Khomeini was a politician, senior Muslim scholar, philosopher, writer, religious jurisprudence, and the political leader of the Iranian Revolution which saw the overthrow of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran.
Following the revolution, Ayatollah Khomeini took the leadership of the country as the paramount political figure of the new Islamic Republic until his demise in 1989.
Internationally he also made a great impact, and has been dubbed "the virtual face of Islam in Western popular culture."
Millions of Muslims commemorated the 19th demise anniversary of the late Imam Khomeini, all across the world to renew their allegiance to his principles on Tuesday.
