Amnesty Denounces Trump’s «Writing Bigotry into Policy»

Following US President Donald Trump's remarks before a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, Amnesty International [AI] USA slammed Trump's bigoted policies that he insisted on issuing.
In the statement issued by AI USA, its executive director Margaret Huang said: "President Trump's remarks tonight [Tuesday] show that he is oblivious to public outrage against his bigoted Muslim ban."
Huang further urged the US Congress to reject the US president's determination on writing a racist policy.
"Congress must block his anticipated new executive order. The hateful repercussions of this policy are being felt by Muslims and those perceived as Muslims across the country -- and around the world," the statement read.
"We cannot allow the US to set such a chilling agenda for other leaders to follow, and we cannot wait for the courts. Congress must act now," Huang said.
