Senior Iranian Military Adviser: We Have Responded to Trump

Millions of Iranians turned out in the marches celebrating the Islamic Revolution's victory anniversary in different cities and towns in Iran.

This year was marked by marches, slogans and banners which responded to Trump's comments and orders against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Youth participation in the rallies was obvious; young people carried banners confirming their support for the revolution in the face of enemy threat and backing Iran's defensive activities.

The participation of Iranians from all walks of life including different groups, Islamic sects and religions: Jews and Christians, was remarkable. In addition to this, firefighters and soldiers, workers and self-employed businessmen and even some expatriate Iranians also participated in the marches this year.

Despite announcing 10 a.m. Tehran time to be the official time for the start of the ceremonies across the country, the capital and other Iranian cities were flooded with marches since early morning hours.

Marches from dozens of roads poured into Tehran's Azadi Square [Freedom]. Participants roamed the main road which amounts to 16 Kilometers and begins from Imam Hussein [PBUH] Square to Azadi Square.

This year, a number of Western and foreign reporters who were covering the rallies had taken part. They had also confirmed to al-Ahed news website their surprise and admiration for this great turnout which asserts the continuation of the Islamic Revolution in Iran. They further pointed that the Iranians had conformed to their Leader's - Imam Khamenei - call to respond to the new American administration's orders.

On the sidelines of these marches, Senior Military Adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei Major General Hassan Firouzabadi, told our website that "These rallies show the solidarity, unity and aptitude of the Iranian people."

He further added that "the basis of the Iranians' morale and spiritual awareness are these marches to confirm that they are ready and steadfast."

The military adviser pointed out that "America has always been defeated by this solidarity and unity among our people," adding that "‘happiness is attained by faith, jihad and martyrdom' is the slogan of this year's marches."

Maj Gen Firouzabadi went on to say: "By conforming to the calls of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian people have responded to the fabrications of Trump, the US administration and the Zionists."

Moreover, he stated that by this mass participation, the Iranians had stressed their support for both - the oppressed in the world as well as the Islamic Resistance front.

Major General Hassan Firouzabadi concluded as saying, "Salutations from us and our people to the magnificent Hizbullah in Lebanon and its Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah."
