7000 Daesh Militants to be Transferred to N Afghanistan Next Year

Afghani MP Obaidullah Barakzai said on Monday that the terrorists in Pakistan are sponsored by the US, TOLOnews reported.

Barakzai pointed out that Daesh is a US project and part of its fight against Russia and China.

He further confirmed information that 7000 Daesh militants will be transferred to northern Afghanistan next year, pointing out that there are efforts to transfer more.

Barakzai confirmed that Russia is aware of the US-UK project and knows very well what is happening in the region.

The MP said that the terrorists cannot enter Afghanistan or Pakistan via Iran. Instead, they are being transferred [by aircrafts provided by the US, UK and the "Israeli" entity] to Pakistan, and from there to Afghanistan.

For his part, Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, speaker of the Wolesi Jirga [Lower House of Parliament], said Monday Daesh still remains a serious threat to Afghanistan's security and that government has failed to define a strong security policy to tackle the problem.

"We persistently remind the president and the chief executive officer (Abdullah Abdullah). Threats emerging from Daesh and Taliban are on the rise, this has created serious concerns among the people, the government has also failed to define a coherent strategy to maintain security in the country," said Ibrahimi.

MPs also criticized the US for ignoring threats emerging from al-Qaeda, Taliban and Daesh in Afghanistan.

They warned that Daesh is becoming a growing threat for Afghanistan.

MPs asked the government to take strategic steps to address the issue of Daesh in the country in order to prevent the group from turning Afghanistan into a key base if they are defeated in Iraq and Syria.

"Government has not performed well regarding security of the country, our information indicates that Daesh is operating in some districts," said MP Arif Rahmani.

"There is the possibility that some youths have joined Daesh," another MP, Samia, said.

These remarks were made after a recent UN report stated that the number of foreign militants fighting in Afghanistan is on the rise so is the al-Qaeda-Taliban cooperation.
