Lebanese newspapers on Wednesday dealt with a variety of topics regionally and internationally. Here is a couple of extracts on the up-to-the-minute issues.

DAILY SCOPE: Saudi Monopoly of Hajj... «Israel» to Undergo Radical Changes!

On Wednesday September 7, 2016, As-Safir newspaper shed light on:

Saudi Arabia Monopolizing Hajj: Accusations of "Politicizing" & "Infidelity"

In the anniversary of the Mina tragedy, demands on setting the Hajj affairs under an international-Islamic umbrella had resurfaced.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, on Monday, called upon the Islamic world to find a solution for the Saudis' mismanagement of the Hajj affairs which he described as an "unjust behavior towards pilgrims" after Riyadh banned Iran and other countries, for political reasons, from participating in the Hajj pilgrimage this year.

As-Safir highlighted the Saudi concerns regarding this old demand that poses a threat to its religious cover. The Saudis had a dual reply: a political response and a religious one.

In this regard, the Al Saud regime's Grand Mufti Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh did not only accuse Iranians of being "infidels" but he also regarded them as enemies of Islam.

This year's list of countries banned from Hajj by the Riyadh regime goes long to include Iran, Yemen and Syria.

While Saudi Arabia had barred various countries from the Hajj pilgrimage, under the pretext of preventing the entry of "terrorists", it had allowed 500 "rehabilitated" graduates from Mohammed Bin Naif Counseling and Care Center who "were members of Takfiri terrorist organizations" in Syria and Iraq to participate in the pilgrimage last year.

Moving on to Al-Akhbar Newspaper. For Wednesday's edition, al-Akhbar shed light on the following issues:

"Syrian National Resistance" Looms: Ankara Faces New Guerrilla War?

On Tuesday, the "Syrian National Resistance" movement came to light. With its grand "aspirations", it exceeds the patch of the ongoing war right up to the Sanjak of Alexandretta.

Al-Akhbar newspaper has received a copy of the group's inauguration statement in which it explains that the Syrian National Resistance is an "alliance of a group of national Syrian forces and figures aiming: to resolve the dispute among the Syrian components and to unite their potentials as to build a united and democratic Syria."

The statement further added that another key objective of the group is "to deter the Turkish occupation from achieving its goals as well as retrieving all the Syrian territories from Jarablus to Sanjak of Alexandretta."

The National Syrian Resistance's statement also pointed out to the collaboration with all Syrian national forces "to liberate every inch of occupied Syrian land."

Moreover, al-Akhbar quoted Rezan Haddou, elected head of the Syrian National Resistance's political bureau as saying that "what distinguishes the project that it won support of Syrians from different political backgrounds," pointing out that the group has no links to the international coalition.

While other sources related to the group confirmed to al-Akhbar that "the Syrian National Resistance is now fully operational, and has the ability to exercise all forms of resistance."

"Israel" Internal Threat: Conflict of the Four "Tribes"!

Al-Akhbar newspaper also has its say on the growing internal strife in the Zionist entity.

In the Herzliya Conference a few months ago, the "Israeli" entity's president Reuven Rivlin pointed out to what he called a radical change in the "Israeli" society which is composed of four major components: a secular Zionist majority, the neo-Zionists, the ultra-Orthodox and the 1948 Palestinians.

Based on data and evaluation of the existing situation within "Israeli" communities, it is difficult to estimate the extent of the repercussions of these divisions.

According to al-Akhbar, the "Israeli" entity is expected to witness extreme and violent scenarios that would violate the standing status quo.

However, these scenarios are expected to remain minimal and limited given the fact their broad impacts, an example is the assassination of former "Israeli" PM Yitzhak Rabin in 1995. Though, the recurrence of like scenarios cannot be prevented in the foreseeable future.

Henceforth, limited impact operations will be among the predominant scenarios, al-Akhbar indicated.
