AL-AKHBAR: Hariri Abandoning His Father's Legacy: Oger for Sale

Head of the Future Party Saad Hariri seems to be bidding farewell to his father's legacy, as he put forth the company ‘Oger' to sale. The Hariri-owned "Saudi Oger" company has been facing strikes almost on daily basis, and the Hariri economic empire in Saudi Arabia seems to be collapsing this time for sure as sources report that Hariri has entered negotiations with the Saudi government to reorganize the company and even move its ownership to the government or major Saudi businessmen from the Royal family.

According to the sources, Hariri has been negotiating to keep himself a share in the company, with an attempt to keep 40% of it for himself; the company that was established a few decades ago by his father Rafiq Hariri. Following a five-year absence that he spent in France and Saudi Arabia, Hariri returned to Lebanon in February for a ceremony commemorating the 11th anniversary of Rafik Hariri's assassination and announced that he will stay in Beirut.

Lebanese media reports linked Hariri's visit to different issues, including the extensive financial crisis he is facing. The French Le Point reported the 56,000 employees of his construction firm, Saudi Oger, haven't been paid for months.

On another note, As-Safir newspaper said that the insistence of the Iranian guest criticized the Saudi normalization with ‘Israel' following his meeting with the Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam was noticeable, and has left its footprints at the Saudi embassy in Beirut, which in its turned echoed dissatisfaction from his stance.

On Monday the Chairman for the Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, Aladine Boroujardi arrived to Lebanon on a two-day visit.

On his second day of Lebanon visit, Boroujerdi met with Prime Minister Tammam Salam at the Grand Serail.
