Meir Dagan, the former Mossad chief who died last month, was known to be a harsh critic of "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, however newly published remarks he made before his death reveal the extent of disdain he really felt towards prime minister.

In a preview released Monday, "Israeli" investigative journalist Ronen Bergman wrote that he wanted to get Dagan's version of the decision-making processes behind major security events.

In this regard, "Israeli" newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth cited Dagan as saying: "I met many heads of state. None of them were pure and holy. Arik [Sharon], I know him well, he never was a saint. But they had one common feature: when they reached a point where personal interests conflicted with "national" interests - the "national" interest always took precedence."

"There are only two people I can't say the same thing for: Bibi [Netanyahu] and [former "Israeli" PM Ehud] Barak." This is one of the reasons why Dagan resigned from his position as chief of the Mossad, Bergman noted, according to the newspaper.

Dagan further was quoted as saying, according to the report, that there were Mossad operations that Netanyahu gave the green light to but would eventually regret the decision and change his mind.

"Bibi [Netanyahu] is the worst director I know," Dagan said during one of the conversations with Bergman. "The worst thing, he has a particular feature similar to Ehud Barak - they both think they are geniuses and they can't identify what they really want."

Dagan died on March 17 at the age of 71. He was the tenth Director of the Mossad and served from 2002-2011.
