’Belgistan’ and the Price of Stupid Policies...
Nidal Hamade
As you step out of the train at Belgium's station in Brussels, you feel for a while that you are in Kandahar, or any other city controlled by Daesh [the Arabic acronym for the terrorist "ISIS" group]. Entire Belgian neighborhoods are dominated by the Wahhabi culture, starting from the way people dress and the Afghani veil known in Europe as the "Afghani Burqa", in addition to the clear noticeable spread of Wahhabi schools. The surprising thing is that some Wahhabi Sheikhs are preaching in public streets and markets in the sight of policemen and with the knowledge and permission of the Belgian authorities.
It is known that the number of the Salafist heralds in the streets outnumbers that of the Jehovah's Witnesses. The Wahhabis also overcome them in financial abilities poured by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and some centers are sponsored by Emirati associations related to the ruling family, which signals that all what we previously mentioned is a result of an already decided and followed policy, and has nothing to do with tolerance and the freedom of expression.
Followers of such terrorist Takfiri doctrines in Europe boast their huge power in Belgium, the unique of its kind in Europe. Some Wahhabi associations' centers are located few hundred kilometers away from the NATO headquarters in Brussels. Some Wahhabi traders, furthermore, have reached the EU headquarters in the Belgian capital. Before entering the EU office, you can sip a cup of coffee at a cafe whose owner wears a short garment and an Adidas. Some Afghani Wahhabis have recently opened bakeries in the area surrounding the buildings that house the EU offices.
Besides, the US has played the main and major role in the existence of the followers of the Takfiri Wahhabi followers in Europe in general since the 1980s amid the Afghani war. Brussels hence attracted many volunteers in the war against the Soviet Union, where the centers of Wahhabi associations are busy making Takfiri speeches against communism and orthodoxy. In parallel, the delegations of "messengers" were roaming both the French and Fleming parts of Belgium freely, as they arrived from Pakistan to raise funds and ignite the youth to go to Afghanistan.
After the occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq, relations between the Belgian authorities and the Wahhabi movement in Belgium deteriorated, until the Syrian war broke out, which re-warmed coalition between both sides. Brussels and some Belgian cities, in the French section in particular, became centers of sending volunteers to fight a war against Syria. Transportation took place under direct trips from Brussels to a military airport near Istanbul, before transporting them to Gaziantep where they were trained for two weeks before being sent to Syria's inside, under Turkish intelligence's supervision. The al-Nusra front was the main and favorite destination for them, before the emergence of Daesh that became the destination of all terrorists coming from Europe to fight in Syria and Iraq.
Some information received by al-Ahed website uncovered that the existence of Daesh in Belgium and France is more virtual than organized one. It contacted Daesh leaderships in Iraq, in which the pledge of allegiance was made by almost all the Wahhabi groups under personal and undercover initiatives. The coffee shops visited by the Wahhabi followers had also witnessed discussions and public calls for pledging allegiance to "Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi" and his organization, in daylight, without any reaction from the Belgian authorities that considered them allies of the current situation in Syria and Iraq.
Also in Belgium and France, the money, drugs and weapons trade mafias became involved in the Wahhabi doctrine, in which its followers started depending on such mafias to provide them with weapons and money, and smuggle drugs inside Europe in cooperation with the Turkish drugs mafia. The mafia's infrastructure, moreover, played a major role in facilitating the return of many of those who fought in Syria and Iraq to Europe. Eventually, they returned with expertise in booby-trapping, observing and fighting. They also came saturated with Takfirism that soon found a place in Europe for their operations that started in France and moved to Belgium. Regarding their deep and old infiltration in the European countries, they can now conduct their suicide and booby-trapping operations all over Europe. But the question that remains unanswered: what is the next European capital where the future blasts would take place?
