In its continuous aggression against the Resistance, the Arab League foreign ministers on Friday declared the Lebanese Hizbullah Resistance as "terrorist", days after Arab interior ministers and the Gulf Cooperation Council issued similar resolutions.
However, a rightful position emerged from Lebanon and Iraq as they expressed "reservations". The bloc said in a statement read out at a news conference by Bahraini diplomat Wahid Mubarak Sayar.
Earlier in the day, the Saudi delegation withdrew from discussions as the Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari's refused to label Hizbullah as terrorist.
"Popular Mobilization Forces and Hizbullah preserved the dignity of the Arabs and whoever accuses them of terrorism they are themselves terrorists," al-Jaafari declared.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi FM rejected attempts to distort the image of Hizbullah, saying that Hizbullah Secretary-General His Eminence Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah is an Arab hero.
"Hizbullah enjoys wide representation in Lebanon and it is a main component in the country," Foreign Minister Jebran Bassil announced after the meeting in Cairo.
"We voiced reservations because the resolution was not in line with the Arab anti-terror treaty," he added.
The minister also noted that Lebanon supported "the resolution on the situations in Syria because it came in line with the latest UN Security Council resolution."
