On the 9th day of Muharram, mothers and their children commemorate the martyrdom of six-month-old baby boy Ali al-Asghar Imam Hussein's youngest child who was martyred in the battle of Karbala.

In the ceremony, mothers along with their babies - usually in green gown and scarf and a forehead band - will start the mourning of six month immolate of Karbala.
