Imam Khamenei: Iran Never to Bow... to Continue Defending the Oppressed

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei confirmed that Iran will never bow to excessive demands over its "defense and security" capabilities.
"Amid an atmosphere of threat the enemies have created, as far as safeguarding its defense and security capabilities are concerned, the Islamic Republic will never bow to the enemy's excessive demands," Imam Khamenei said in a sermon to worshippers at the Eid al-Fitr mass prayers marking the end of the Holy month of Ramadan on Saturday.
The Leader added that whether the text of the nuclear conclusion, recently reached with world powers, is approved or not, Iran will never allow any "exploitation" of it.
"God willing, the country's defense capabilities and security privacy will be safeguarded. No one will be allowed to harm the fundamental principles of the Islamic establishment," Imam Khamenei said.
He further emphasized that the latest round of negotiations between Iran and the six world powers and the text of the nuclear conclusion would never lead to a change in the Islamic Republic's policies towards the "arrogant US government."
"The US policies on regional issues are exactly on the opposite site to those pursued by Iran, " he asserted.
In parallel, His Eminence stated that the Americans accuse Lebanese resistance movement Hizbullah and the anti-"Israeli" axis of resistance, which are the most dedicated national defense forces, of terrorism while they support the "Zionist, terrorist and infanticide" "Israeli" regime.
"How can one negotiate, deal and reach an agreement with such a government [US]?" the Leader asked.
Imam Khamenei also said Tuesday's nuclear agreement would not alter Iran's support for the governments of Syria and Iraq nor its backing of "oppressed people" in Yemen and Bahrain, and the Palestinians.
Imam Khamenei restated his position against acquiring a nuclear bomb, mentioning a fatwa he himself issued against any action seeking the bomb.
He also stressed that the agreement with Britain, China, France, Russia and the United States plus Germany was not yet law and would have to be carefully scrutinized.
But he praised President Hassan Rouhani and Iran's negotiators.
"They really took pains and worked hard," the Leader said of the team led by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
"The text that has been prepared, whether it is approved or not, they have done their part and they should have their reward," he added.
