Assiyasa al-Kuwaitiya newspaper reported that the investigation lead by Kuwait's State Security Services and prosecution inquiries after booking the Criminal Court for the so-called case the ""ISIL" organization in Kuwait" where eight people were accused of involvement, revealed plans to overthrow the Kuwaiti regime as well as expand to neighboring countries.
The ongoing investigations dealing with the case of "ISIL" in Kuwait warned that "the fundraising chaos can be transformed into a terrible disaster if not halted," especially as the public prosecutor confirmed that the organization aimed to thrash the governing regime in Kuwait, expand into the neighboring countries and conduct combat operations against all who stand in their face.
These actions were considered by experts to be evidence that members of the organization were planning to make Kuwait a starting base for their operations towards other countries which are part of the Gulf Cooperation Council [GCC].
Moreover, according to the newspapers, sources familiar with suspect investigations unveiled "issues unspoken of in the confessions: that Kuwait's "ISIL" followed the footsteps of their Takfiri terrorist organization predecessors who viewed countries as theaters for war."
In the testimonies, an officer in the State Security Service confirmed that the first suspect "A" traveled on July 31st 2014 accompanied by the sixth suspect "N" - who used another citizen's passport taking advantage of the airport passport officer's goodwill - to Turkey and then to the area of Gaziantep bordering Syria.
Then, the latter joined the "legitimate" al-Tabaka camp while the former left it for al-Faruq camp in Salah al-Din area in Iraq, where they were trained to use Kalashnikov rifles, RPGs and hand grenades.
Based on the witness' testimony, the first suspect had admitted that the third suspect "A" was the one who introduced him to the second suspect "F" - who was one of the most prominent leaders of the organization based in Kuwait; he facilitated the recruit to "ISIL", resided in Bur al-Salmi, and owns and uses weapons and ammunition.
Furthermore, as the 2nd "F" and 3rd "A" suspects had been caught, the latter emphasized the confession "that he was an advocate for the organization which aims at the destruction of the main regulations in Kuwait, and the second suspect is funding the organization through a campaign called "Ansar al-Sham."
Hence, he pointed out that "in another dramatic confession, the second suspect admitted ownership of weapons and ammunition that were found in his possession and justified why he did not show his credential as well as his family's as he was not convinced that the current Kuwait regime was legitimate and awaited "ISIL's" invasion that he supported in various forms."
The witness explained that the fourth suspect "M" was collecting funds to strengthen the organization through the campaign indicated that was established by the 2nd "F", 7th "A" and 8th "M; while the 5th suspect "H" that the main goal behind the fundraising was to gather funds in and out Kuwait to finance "ISIL's" weapon procure."
In a parallel notion, the forensic evidence report related to the seized weapons pointed that the 2nd and 4th suspects possessed Kalashnikov rifles as well as usable bullets; a submachine gun which can be used with the first rifle and that ammunition fired are suitable for automatic guns.
