Nasser Qandil - al-Binaa Newspaper

Eight years ago, a specialized "Israeli" unit, along with elite central units of the CIA and supported by intelligence from Arab security apparatus gathered in the Sharam al-Shaykh security summit chaired by Condoleezza Rice in 2007 to put an end to the results of the resistance's victory in the July 2006 war.

In The Memory of Imad Mughniyah, Who is the Victor?

Information then leaked that a decision was taken to eliminate Imad Mughniyah, and establish a special department to track him, to be kept updated by the intelligence apparatuses of the countries partaking in it, led by Gulf States, the US, and "Israel".

Friends of Mughniyah, whom Sayyed Hassan Nasrullah dubbed "the man behind the two victories", say that Mughniyah promised to procure the necessary power so that the resistance would have the ability to enter Galilee in a land war in which it is the shot caller. He also wanted it to have air defense networks, the ability to manufacture its own missiles both in Lebanon and in Palestine.

He wanted it to bring about the proper environment that would enable the Syrian state to enforce the "Army, people, resistance" equation in the Golan front, by combining deterrence and resistance with their popular support. Yet he wished the end of the lie that is al-Qaeda's image of a "Jihadi" power claiming to represent the will of the nation in its fight against American hegemony and "Israeli" aggression. He wished that America would lose its delusions of war, and the Saudi influence withdrew from the region.

Eight years after his passing, what became of the killers who toasted their victory upon receiving word of his assassination? And where is Mughniyah's project now; his promises and dreams?

Here you see the resistance, whose path Mughniyah's companions still tread, led by he who made the truthful promise who promised Mughniyah that the "Israelis" would find tens of thousands of his students fighting them in any coming war, embracing his son a martyr on the same path, and carrying on. Its enemy admits that its rockets cover the range of the whole of Occupied Palestine, and that it is the Middle East's top army. More so, the "Israelis" admit that it's the threat of entering Galilee and beyond is now a reality, and that its weapons in the land, sea, and air are enough to achieve victory. It also affirms that the Golan front would join the South Lebanon front, and that Syria is proving its strength, resilience, and steadfastness, and wading through difficult passages safely.

The resistance's army has retaken the nickname stolen by the "Israeli" army for half a century, and is known by all means the invincible army. Al-Qaeda is now uncovered for the tool of death and destruction it really is, both through its original version seen in the "an-Nusra Front" and the revised version seen in "ISIL", and all part of an intelligence scheme held under the auspices of "Israel", with the scandal of our time being the part played by Turkish, Qatari, "Israeli", and American intelligence services in fostering this half-bred organization that claims belonging to Islam. Now, Gulf States, with Saudi Arabia at their forefront, shudder in fear of Mughniyah's companions in Yemen, with his other companions moving on to grab hold of the region's passageways, which the Americans dub, the waterway passages, from the Suez canal to the Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab straits, to the Mediterranean sea.

Now, the Iran he loved, whose Imam and leader he also loved, is an international player, with the world bearing witness to the greatness of its accomplishments, with America, who was once vengeful of Iran now itself confessing to that greatness.
Imad Mughniyah, now martyred, lives on through his accomplishments while his enemies are living dead.

The world celebrates those who shape it as heroes, whereas those shaped by the world will have a funeral as a sorry excuse for a celebration.
