Zarif: Iran to Sign Final Deal if Its Nuclear Energy Rights Recognized

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Sunday that Iran is ready to sign a nuclear deal if the country's peaceful nuclear activities are officially recognized.
Zarif said that Iran is ready to sign a final deal with G5+1 countries if they officially recognize the country's peaceful nuclear rights.
He made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Norwegian Foreign Minister Borge Brende on Sunday.
For his part, Brende expressed hope that the talks between Iran and the P5+1 countries will end successfully soon.
Brende also said a new deal will create new opportunities in ties between Iran and the European Union [EU].
Furthermore, Zarif said grounds for expansion of all-out cooperation between Iran and Norway are well prepared.
On regional developments, Zarif called for convergence and interaction among countries of the region.
Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council - Russia, China, France, Britain and the US -- plus Germany are in talks to reach a final agreement aimed at resolving the standoff over Tehran's civilian nuclear work.
The two sides signed a historic interim deal in Geneva last November [2013]. The agreement entered into force on January 20 and expired six months later. In July, Tehran and the six states agreed to extend their discussions until November 24 in a bid to work out a final accord.
