A hundred additional US soldiers arrived in Liberia on Tuesday, bringing the number of American troops in West Africa up to 565 in the Ebola mission, according to the US Department of War.


565 US Troops in West Africa As 100 Soldiers Arrive in Ebola ’Mission’Eventually, up to 4,000 military personnel are expected to be deployed to West African countries battling the Ebola outbreak.

According to the Pentagon, the task of developing 17 100-bed treatment centers meanwhile is expected to last well into November.

The operation will cost an estimated $750 million throughout the first six months, the commander of US Africa Command [AFRICOM], Army Gen. David Rodriguez, said on Tuesday.
