"Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Yair Lapid patched up a very public budgetary rift on Wednesday, agreeing to boost war spending, after a bloody and costly aggression in seized Gaza.

’Israel’ to Boost Military War Budget by 10%
Netanyahu's office said the war ministry would get $1.9 billion-$2.2 billion to defray costs from the 50-day air, sea and land aggression against seized Gaza and an extra $1.6 billion in next year's [2015] budget, for a total $15.6 billion.

"Israel's" war chief Moshe Ya'alon said costs of the 50-day aggression eventually exceeded $2.5 billion.

That estimate, according to an MoD source, includes operations and maintenance costs, replenishment procurement and expenses associated with more than 80,000 reservists called up for duty.

Since shortly after the "Israeli" aggression ended on August 26, Netanyahu and War Minister Moshe Yaalon have fought for a big hike in war spending against fierce resistance from Lapid.

Lapid recently last week threatened to quit the coalition government if taxes go up.

The 50-day "Israeli" aggression on seized Gaza that began on June 7 until August 26 costed more than 2,100 Palestinian lives.
