Thank you Not!
Ibrahim Amin - al-Akhbar newspaper
It is not true that the Saudi donation is not suitable. But it is not what is required from Saudi Arabia now. The responsibility is way beyond raising the voice and paying the money for munitions that can be provided by other countries without any other financial or political counterpart. The kingdom of oppression must admit that terrorism jolting Lebanon nowadays is the same that Saudi intelligence services, in tandem with the Turkish and the Qatari ones, have funded, and that is destroying Syria and Iraq on a daily basis.
Therefore, not only do they have to wash their hands clean in a statement or a speech, but also through a work mechanism known by everybody. First and foremost, they must publicly go for an overall reconsideration, albeit the price would be the recognition of the loss here or there; because intransigence and hiding behind generic stances and mottos is to no avail. And any help is just to make up for the atrocious crimes perpetrated in our Arab Levant.
And so that we don't feel tremendously grateful for this fishy generosity, one billion dollar, or three, or even more, will mean nothing. We all know that colonialist France and its beseeching leadership and money-fancier companies will loot half the amount.
And there will be commission for its Saudi partners; and we won't know who else in Lebanon shall receive kickbacks. As to what is left, it will be spent on some weaponry; The Lebanese will disagree on their direction.
If criminals spent on Arsal and Akkar some of what they did on extremists, there would have been neither terrorism nor terrorists, noting that nobody would believe the background of this bounty other than what their small agents here keep on saying: we have to prevent the army command from asking for the help of Syria and Hizbullah in its war against terrorism.
And after we have met Michel Sleiman as the spokesperson and a king of Saudi Arabia some time ago, voilà Saad Hariri-maybe he has more right in that respect-reading out the statements of the Saudi government. Saad Hariri didn't say any single useful word. He spoke lengthily only to hold Hizbullah responsible. And as long as he insists on his mantra, we shall expect nothing from him for the army or for Lebanon, not even for the good-hearted people who believed his vow. Here he is, leaving them to their fate. Once again, Hariri lacks courage at this difficult moment. He lacks independence which makes of him a Lebanese leader before any other label.
And all the other March 14 forces who have decided that backing the army is backing its chief to reach power just follow suit. Nonetheless, they are meeting the terms of the infernal alliance that has brought ISIS to the world.
And because the battle is clear and decisive, and because protecting Arsal locals and the tenants of all the regions that are now under the control of those crazy gamblers is a moral obligation before anything else, talks with the kingdom of oppression and its boys must be in frank terms, without distinction between what it is doing in Syria or Yemen or Iraq or Libya or Egypt, and what it has done for the past month in Gaza. Here is the super strong Strip that is still under the brunt of the appalling death "Israel" sought, with a crystal clear support by the Saudi kingdom of oppression. And there is the Resistance, whether Hamas or Fatah or the Islamic Jihad, whose flags shall be hoisted higher than the status of the monarch and his men. If those who looted the fortunes of the Arabs did not dash to reconstruct Gaza and render it better than it was, and to lift the siege off the Resistance, as well as to cease pressuring it, then how would we believe they are to account themselves?
In Syria, the demands of the poor and exhausted people are lost, and so are the ambitions of an Arab Levant where there is development and a civil state where potentials are beefed up and enhanced. The kingdoms of oppression were the most responsible for the insane adventure which Lebanon is sought to pay an additional price for, so that there shouldn't be any more power to deter those who are crazy "in the name of God," or any safe haven for those running away from the Takfiris, especially the Christians, and so that there shouldn't be more stability than in their countries which they delusionally believe they are safe from hell.
He who doesn't want to admit this truth is getting distracted by a mantra that people are fed up with. And he who shall fix it knows well that a decisive position is the solution, and then follow the other steps. Does Saad Hariri, or Fouad Siniora, or any other official of this camp, with the king of oppression behind them, think that Arsal needs hundreds of millions of dollars to build its status that heal it from the brunt of the centuries and decades? Do they think that Akkar and Tripoli need a billion dollar or more for development versus deprivation and descending into ignorance? Do they know that Bcharre, Koura, Batroun and Mount Lebanon need the money that was spent on March 14 forces? Do they know that Iqlim Kharroub, Iqlim Arqiub and Sidon need much less than what was spent on the religious associations?
No, thank you plotters against poor Sunnis before anybody else. Thank you for any support that is more vicious than virtuous. Do reconsider your stances. Do renege on your destructive plans. Let the people rehabilitate their country!
