’Israel’ to Build 184 illegal Units in WB

"Israel" approved building plans on Wednesday for 184 new units in two Zionist settlements in the West Bank.

An "Israeli" municipality spokeswoman in Occupied al-Quds said the local committee had approved requests by private contractors for the construction of 144 units in Har Homa and 40 dwellings in Pisgat Zeev.

Hanan Ashrawi, a senior member of the Palestine Liberation Organization [PLO], accused the Zionist entity of trying to derail US-sponsored talks in which the future of settlements on Palestinian land is a major issue.

"It is has become evident that "Israel" has done everything possible to destroy the ongoing negotiations and to provoke violence and extremism throughout the region," Ashrawi said in a statement.

Har Homa and Pisgat Zeev settlements are in a part of the West Bank that "Israel" occupied after 1967 war.

More than half a million "Israelis" live in over 120 illegal settlements built since "Israel's" occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and East al-Quds in 1967.
