An "Israeli" member of the Knesset stormed into al-Aqsa compound early Wednesday escorted by "Israeli" police, a Palestinian official said.

’Israeli’ MK Desecrates Al-Aqsa, Settlers Damage 30 Palestinian Cars Azzam al-Khatib, the director of the al-Aqsa Mosque, stated that right-wing MK Moshe Feiglin arrived at the al-Aqsa Holy compound at 8:15 a.m. and entered through the al-Maghareba gate.

Feiglin toured the eastern quarter of the compound and stood at the courtyard of the Dome of the Rock, al-Khatib said.
A cameraman followed him throughout the tour, which lasted a half hour, al-Khatib said.

He said Feiglin was heard claiming that "the al-Aqsa Mosque belongs to the Jews".
Feiglin, head of the so-called "Jewish Leadership" faction of "Israel's" Likud party, had initiated a Knesset debate scheduled for Tuesday, calling for full "Israeli" sovereignty over the al-Aqsa compound. However, "Israeli" media reported that the debate would be postponed.

In another aggression, Zionist settlers slashed the tyres of some 30 Palestinian cars and sprayed racist slogans in Hebrew in a neighborhood of east al-Quds on Wednesday.

The attack took place in Sharafat, a Palestinian neighborhood in the southern sector of east al-Quds, with the attackers spraying "No coexistence" and "Arabs = thieves" on walls.
A similar attack took place on February 10 when suspected "Israeli" extremists punctured the tyres of 19 vehicles in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Ein Aluza just south of the Old City, and daubed the site with racist anti-Arab graffiti in Hebrew.

Both incidences of vandalism bore the hallmarks of a "price tag" attack, a euphemism for hate crimes that generally target Palestinians.
Initially carried out in retaliation for state moves to dismantle unauthorized settler outposts, the attacks have become a much broader phenomenon targeting anyone seen as hostile to the settlers.

Earlier this month, three settlers were indicted for a November arson attack on two Palestinian vehicles, but in the vast majority of cases, the Zionsit entity has failed to catch and prosecute those involved, who are largely understood to be Zionist extremists.
