A report revealing that the head of the Saudi intelligence service recently met with several senior "Israeli" security officials found its way into "Israeli" media.

Saudi Intelligence Head, Bandar, Met Mossad ChiefYnet daily along with Arutz Sheva spread parts of their pages to mention the details of the report.

The meeting took place in Geneva on November 27.

Last month, it was reported that "Israel" and the Gulf Arab states, led by Saudi Arabia are increasingly finding common ground - and a common political language - regarding both nations' dismay over Iran's history-making overtures to Washington and the nuclear talks in Geneva.

Ynet further quoted Theodore Karasik, a security and political affairs analyst at the Dubai-based Institute for Near East and Gulf Military Analysis, as saying: "The adage about 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' is playing out over Iran."
"This situation opens up some interesting possibilities as it all shakes out."
The information was based on a whistleblower with access to Saudi classified information, who was named by the news agency as Mujtahid. The whistleblower is well connected with the inner circles of the Saudi secret service" and revealed the details of the meeting on his Twitter account.

Mujtahid's Tweet said that Prince Bandar and "Israeli" officials agreed on a number of crucial issues, including "containing Iran by any possible means, exercising stronger control over Syria's extremist forces, sidelining Muslim Brotherhood and stopping the waves of the Arab Spring.

The source, who asked to remain unnamed due to the sensitivity of his information, also said that like the Saudi officials, specially Prince Bandar, J Street has made use of all its possibilities and potentials in recent months to coax the US political and military officials into limited military operations against Syria's sensitive and vital regions.

Earlier reports had already disclosed that the Saudi spy chief, a former Ambassador to Washington, was trying hard to push US officials to Syria war.
The Saudis are "indispensable partners on Syria" and have considerable influence on American thinking, a senior US official told The Wall Street Journal late August.

Commenting on the report, the "Israeli" daily stated: "Saudi Arabia and its Gulf partners are deep-pocket customers of US weapons and aircraft, but also allow the Pentagon extensive footholds in the region, including the headquarters of the Navy's 5th Fleet in Bahrain. The arrangement is meant to buy protection from Washington and intimidate Iran."
