Two suicide bombers, who attacked the Iranian Embassy in Lebanon earlier this week killing at least 25 people, stayed at a luxury Beirut hotel, Military Prosecutor Saqr Saqr said Thursday.

According to Saqr, the killers stayed at the Sheraton Four Points hotel in the Beirut area near UNESCO. He said security camera videos submitted by the hotel were also being examined.

Also, The Daily Star quoted security sources saying that among the two suicide bombers who both spoke Arabic, there was a Palestinian national, adding that investigators were still trying to identify the second bomber.
Saqr said fingerprints taken from the hotel room were being analyzed, describing this measure as "the most significant step."

Also, the Lebanese daily al-Akhbar revealed "A security unit went afterwards to the hotel and lifted fingerprints from the room hired by the bombers. It found some needs which both have left behind. The security unit could get their identity cards from the hotel management which they used during reservation, and confiscated all recordings of surveillance cameras in the hotel."

"It has been turned out that one of the IDs used by the suicide bombers, which was found at the crime scene, refers to real data of a Lebanese citizen and has been forged for bearing a portrait which is not for its real owner," the daily said.
"Security forces arrested the true ID's holder without any suspicion against him," it added.

"But even overnight, the nationality of any of them have not been resolved," it concluded.
At least 25 people were killed and more than 150 were wounded when two suicide bombers - one wearing an explosive belt and the other driving a bomb-laden vehicle - attacked the Iranian embassy in Bir Hasan, a predominantly Shiite neighborhood south of Beirut. Among the killed were the embassy's cultural advisor and several guards.
