French President Francois Hollande called on the Zionist entity to halt its illegal settlement building in the West Bank, saying it hampers chances for a so-called "peace" agreement with the Palestinians.

Hollande Urges ’Israel’ to Halt Settlements, Netanyahu Calls Abbas to Address Knesset! This comes after "Israel" announced plans for thousands of new settler units.

"For the sake of peace and to reach a deal, France calls for the total and definitive end to settlement building because it compromises the two-state solution," Hollande said at a news conference with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

For his part, "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to address the "Israeli" Knesset and publicly recognize the Zionist entity.
"I call on him from here: let's break the deadlock. Come to the "Israeli" Knesset and I'll come to Ramallah," Netanyahu said.

Meanwhile, Hollande told the "Israeli" Knesset that "al-Quds must be the capital of both "Israel" and the future state of Palestine."
"France's position is known: a negotiated settlement, with "Israel" and Palestine both having al-Quds as capital, coexisting in peace and security," he claimed.

"Israel" occupied the eastern sector of the Holy City during the 1967 Six Day War and later annexed it in a move never recognized by the international community.
Hollande also assured his "Israeli" partner during his speech that France is using "all its might to battle the so-called "anti-Semitism".
"France is fighting with all its might against anti-Semitism in all its forms," he said.
