Suleiman Meets with Counterparts in New York, Heads to KSA Upon Official Invitation

Lebanese President, Michel Suleiman, met with the Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani, at UN headquarters in New York on Wednesday.
Sheikh Rouhani asserted during the meeting that e solution to the Syrian crisis is political.
"Rouhani also hoped to calm the current tension with Saudi Arabia and Bahrain," the source said.
Suleiman also met with his Turkish counterpart, Abdullah Gul, and later on met with the Qatari Emir, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, at the Qatari Embassy in New York.
Moreover, Suleiman met with Russia's Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov.
Lavrov stressed to President Suleiman that Russia will grant Lebanon financial support and announced that Lebanon will attend Geneva II as a Syria neighboring country.
Attending the UN General Assembly's sessions currently, Suleiman is scheduled to fly to Saudi Arabia later this week on an official visit for talks with national officials.
The sources said Suleiman's talks with senior Saudi officials were likely to touch on the situation in the region, particularly developments in Syria and the security and economic repercussions for Lebanon.
