Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour slammed the European Union's decision to list Hizbullah on its terror blacklist, noting "we are waiting for the formal decision to be issued, but it is a hasty decision and will have repercussions on Lebanon's political life."

Mansour: EU Decision Hasty, Has Repercussions on Lebanese Political Life He further added "We hoped that such a decision would not be issued, as the EU always mentioned its concern over Lebanon's stability and security; hence this decision is not in favor of Lebanon and harms its interests particularly in light of the internal disputes taking place."
Mansour assured "major pressure was exerted in this direction, which led to the issuance of the decision."

The FM also pointed out "some negative stances against Hizbullah that were launched by some Lebanese sides, especially in issues related to the government, had its share of helping in the decision making."
The European Union has put what it calls the military wing of the Lebanese resistance movement, Hizbullah, on its terror blacklist.
The decision was made unanimously after hours of discussions by the EU's 28 foreign ministers at their monthly meeting. It came after prolonged diplomatic pressure from Washington and "Israel".

The blacklisting would mean imposing visa bans on individuals and asset freezes on organizations associated with the group.
