Successive batches of "Israeli" settlers and around 60 "Israeli" army recruits in military attire, stormed today into the holy al-Aqsa Mosque, from the Bab al-Maghariba escorted by heavy and strict guard from special occupation police units.
The Palestinian News Agency quoted one of the workers in the holy al-Aqsa Mosque who said that the "Israeli" army recruits stormed into the Mosque as part of reconnaissance operations conducted by "Israeli" occupation soldiers and female recruits.
Simultaneously, "Israeli" occupation police stationed at the gateways of the holy al-Aqsa Mosque tightened their measures on Palestinian youngsters and students and examined their personal identity cards which were usually retained until such time when they exit from the Mosque.
Reports earlier quoted an "Israeli" rabbi saying that the "Israeli" Security Service encourages "Israelis" to storm into al-Aqsa Mosque in order to create permanent presence for Jews on the site, under the allegations that the Islamic Holy site is a location of the Jewish temple more than 2000 years ago.
Meanwhile, Palestinians expressed concern that the "Israelis" backed by officials aim to destroy the holy sites in order to build a Jewish temple on their ruins.
