All of a sudden, silence loomed as Lebanon's March 14 forces became oblivious, and the ‘founders of sovereignty and independence', who had hailed the Syrian Army's withdrawal from Lebanon, could not utter a single sound to Former Syrian Vice President Abdel Halim Khaddam's latest threats to "invade Lebanon and rip out Hizbullah after President Bashar al-Assad's regime falls."

After the Syrian militias threatened to move the battle to Lebanon and shelling on the borderline city of Hermel continued, Khaddam had revealed what his "Arab Spring" and "reformist" opposition convey that would push him to revenge and threats.

Moreover, KhaNakash: Khaddam Marches to Beat of Different Drummerddam's latest statement undoubtedly reiterated what His Eminence Hizbullah's Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stated in his recent speech; that the foreign opposition has "hidden goals and intentions to destroy Hizbullah and the resistance project in the region in order to pave the way for normalization with the Zionist entity."

Khaddam's
logic greatly coincides with the Takfiri logic, that does not condone any opinion other than theirs, and believes that murder and crime is the easiest way to impose its dominance. It also interconnects with former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's remarks during the July war in 2006, in which she stressed to ‘rip Hizbullah out from its roots'.

Khaddam's logic was described by Anis Nakash, Coordinator of the Safety Net for Research and Strategic Studies, as silly, believing that Khaddam marches to the beat of a different drummer. He is neither from the opposition leaders nor the leaders of the so-called FSA, said Nakash.

In an interview with al-Ahed News website, Nakash believed that Abdel Halim Khaddam's appearance is as though he "came out of a history book", and found an opportunity to speak out and raise slogans.

"If foreign parties want to change forces on the ground, it has individuals much more important than Abdel Halim Khaddam," Nakash commented, referring to the Commander General of the so-called FSA who demanded the "Arab League and Lebanese President Michel Suleiman to banish Hizbullah in the next 24 hours."

Nakash: Khaddam Marches to Beat of Different DrummerThe political analyst affirmed, "There are military camps that seek to strike the resistance in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon, and so it puts all its potential in to strike the resistance there."

"It is not required now to probe speeches here and there, but to make this battle unified within a certain framework. As long as the conspiracy is known, we must deploy our military and popular forces to these fields in order to face this conspiracy," he added.

"They are dragging us to small details, but we must put the bigger picture in front of us; which is that the resistance fights "Israel"," he stated.

As for the foreign opposition's hidden intentions, Nakash noted, "This whole party doesn't want to change the regime in Syria or have reforms, but rather to strike the resistance. We don't wait for statements to know their intentions and goals, or else what is the meaning of this American-Arab-"Israeli"-Western agreement to arm the rebels?"
"Ripping out Hizbullah is a delusion; Hizbullah cannot be ripped out from the region, and "Israel" is afraid because it conducts one maneuver after the other," Nakash concluded, pointing out, "They don't have the ability nor the right to rip Hizbullah from its roots, because the resistance's popularity is fixed."
