The French authorities banned the Head of the Supreme Islamic Committee and Preacher of al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Akrama Sabri from entering French territories to lecture about the situation in al-Quds and al-Aqsa Mosque upon an invitation from a French association.
After the association's president inquired the reason that the Sheikh did not receive a visa from the French Consulate in al-Quds, it learnt that the banning order came from the authorities in Paris.
The French Consul stated in a letter addressed to the association, "We received instructions from the French authorities to decline the visa to Sheikh Akrama Sabri."
It is noteworthy to mention that the said French association, concerned with supporting al-Quds and its people against Judaization and destruction, has begun to prepare a series of popular and semi-official meetings with Arab and Muslim people in many French and Swiss cities.
It also invited Dr. Sheikh Akrama Sabri and Atallah Hanna, the Archbishop of Sebastia from the Orthodox Patriarchate of al-Quds to attend these meetings.
