Chairman of the Foreign Policy and National Security Committee at the Iranian Parliament Council, Alaeddin Boroujerdi confirmed that Syria constitutes the first line of confronting the Zionist enemy.

Boroujerdi: Syria First Line to Confront He further emphasized that "Iran will continue its support to Syria till the crisis, completely ends."
In a press conference held in Damascus on Monday, Boroijerdi added: "During our visit to Syria we expressed complete support in face of the conspiracy it is exposed to."
"The United States and its allies in the region, who allocated millions of dollars, sent weapons to Syria and trained terrorists, are responsible for the killing of the Syrian people and should be prosecuted," he mentioned.

In parallel, the Iranian official criticized Washington's double standard policy as it claims defending the human rights and confronts terrorism while it kills the innocents in Syria, Afghanistan, Palestine and Pakistan.
"The Zionist entity isn't in a direct war with Syria, but it works for igniting war through supporting the gunmen and supplying them with information to undermine the infrastructure and kill the Syrians," he said.

"It is a devilish "Israeli" policy," he highlighted.

Borujerdi also stated: "We think the best scenario is for Mr. al-Assad to remain the president of the republic until the summer of 2014."
"After that, free elections will be held and the Syrian people can express themselves and decide on their future," he said after a meeting with al-Assad.
He criticized neighboring countries which support rebels, charging they were "seeking to deepen dissent and the crisis" in Syria.

Such countries, which he did not name, "must know that this crisis will end sooner or later and then only the bad policies of these states will stay behind in the memory of the Syrian people," said Borujerdi.
The Iranain official stressed that Iran supports the political program based on the national dialogue among all spectrums of the Syrian people to get out of the crisis peacefully.

"The United States to open a new front against Syria from the Jordanian borders is an evidence on the failure of the American policy in the region," he said.
