Former Mossad Chief: Events in Syria Not Bad For "Israel"
Local Editor
Former "Israeli" Intelligence Chief, Amos Yadlin, described the events in Syria as not necessarily bad for "Israel".
In an interview with "Israeli" Channel 1, he ruled out "tactical firing on the border", but pointed out that "Israelis" must "engage in more important strategic matters, considering that the Iran-Syria-Hizbullah-Hamas axis is falling apart."
Moreover, Amos Yadlin went on, "Strategically-speaking, events in Syria are a positive development to "Israel", since the Syrian Army - an excellent army that owns Scud missiles, one of the best Russian defense systems in the world and an excellent Commandos unit - is now depleted."
Yadlin further noted that the Syrian Army that "focused on our border is now looking to the North towards Damascus," adding, "We shouldn't cry on the Syrian events."
