After 27 consecutive days of hunger strike in solidarity with Palestinian prisoner Samer Issawi, Argentinian human rights activist Faisal Sergio Tapia sent an open letter to the Zionist government offering his life in exchange of Issawi's release.
The Palestinian prisoner, Issawi, has been striking for about six months now and might lose his life at any moment.

"I Faisal Sergio Tapia give my life for the freedom of my brother Samer Issawi, who is under criminal oppression of the State of "Israel"," said the letter.

"Given the critical health condition of Palestinian detainee Samer al Issawi; and under the Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols in regard of international humanitarian law and as guaranteed by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) declaration adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 10 December, 1948, I Faisal Sergio Tapia, Argentinian, as a Human rights defender and ambassador of International Committee of Islamic Human Rights implore the "Israel" government to take me to jail instead of Samer al Issawi --- I give my life for his freedom," Tapia said in a letter also sent to the Center for Defense of Liberties and Civil Rights Hurryyat.

Tapia described Isaawi's arrest as illegal, saying that it represents the human face of "Israel's" brutal policy of indefinite 'administrative detention.'
"The Israeli government can torture and kill me, but please, I ask for the freedom of Samer al-Issawi, my brother, my blood... because we are all: Palestinian; all of us who struggle against oppression, the oppression that is killing my brother in its "Israeli" prison," he said.

Tapia accused "Israel" of being the first systematic violator of human rights of humanity. He said that he will continue on his hunger strike until Issawi's release.
During his visit to Ramallah, US President Barack Obama refused to meet Samer's mother on Mother's Day to hear her cry pleading for the release of her son and other prisoners in "Israeli" jails.
