Jalili: Palestinian Resistance Axis of Nation’s Unity

Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili stressed Sunday the role of resistance in preventing the enemy's divisive plots.
In a meeting with Hamas politburo deputy chief Mousa Abu Marzouq in Tehran, Jalili stated: "Resistance for the liberation of Palestinian lands is the best axis for unity of Islamic nation and could be used as a preventive strategy in deterring enemy divisive plots."
For his part, Abu Marzouq, pointed to the great capacities of the resistance, and said, "Islamic Resistance Movement can achieve greater successes by pursuing the motto of Palestine is our land and nation from the Mediterranean sea to the Jordan river."
He further confirmed the importance of Iran's role in solving the conflicts in the Islamic world, and informed Jalili of the latest developments in Palestine and the region to Jalili.
The Palestinian official also stressed the need for convergence among major regional countries to resolve regional issues, including Syria unrest, without foreign meddling.
The Hamas official also made comments about the unrest in Syria, saying there is no military solution for the conflict.
Earlier in the day, Marzouk met with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi.
At the meeting, the Iranian foreign minister reiterated Tehran's support for the Palestinian nation and their efforts to liberate the occupied Palestinian territories.
The senior Palestinian official, for his part, pointed to Tehran's efforts to end Syria unrest, and criticized attempts by certain countries to obstruct national dialogue between the Syrian government and opposition groups.
