A 30 years old Bahraini woman namely, al-Sayyida Aminah Sayyed Mahdi, was martyred Thursday due to inhalation of toxic gas fired by al-Khalifa forces into her house in Abu Saiba a village near capital Manama.Meanwhile, another Bahraini teenager was martyred during clashes between anti-regime demonstrators and security forces as Bahrainis mark the second anniversary of their popular uprising against the ruling al-Khalifa regime.
The martyr, Hussain Ali Ahmad al-Jazeeri, about 14 years old was martyred in al-Diyah region by direct shooting of al-Khalifa forces on his chest and abdomen.
"The child Hussein al-Jaziri was martyred after he was wounded by shotgun fire in Dia," Bahrain's major opposition group, al-Wefaq, announced on Thursday.
In parallel, the Bahraini Interior Ministry also said, without elaborating, that, "A wounded person who was brought to Salmaniya hospital was pronounced dead and the public prosecution was informed of the incident."
This comes as Bahraini regime forces clashed with anti-regime protesters during a demonstration held to demand the downfall of the al-Khalifa regime in the capital, Manama.
In response, the Saudi-backed Bahraini forces heavily fired tear gas to disperse the demonstrators who were chanting anti-regime slogans in the streets of Manama.
Similar protest rallies were also staged around the capital and in several other towns and villages across the Gulf kingdom.
A coalition of opposition groups including al-Wefaq and the February 14 Movement called for a general strike to mark the second anniversary of a massive uprising that swept across the small island, home to the US Fifth Fleet.
