The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed that Iran's enemies have realized that they cannot confront the Iranian nation.
"They (Iran's enemies) see, understand and analyze the realities on the ground and come to the conclusion that they cannot confront this nation," the Leader said on Monday.
In parallel, Imam Khamenei also hailed the Iranian nation's high turnout in the rallies held across the country to mark the 34th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, which put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in the country.
Millions of people in the capital, Tehran, and many other cities and towns took to the streets on Sunday morning to also reaffirm their allegiance to the ideals of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Ruhollah Khomeini.
His Eminence further described the massive presence of people in the rallies as a significant event.
"Just when the enemies of the independence and dignity of the Iranian nation expected the people not to respond to the call of the revolution and the Islamic Republic, the people disappointed the enemy with their participation," the Leader noted.
Stressing that enemies are trying to underestimate such a magnificent presence, Imam Khamenei reiterated that by analyzing such a presence they come to the conclusion that they are not capable of confronting the Iranian nation.
In this context, he underscored that "the biggest and most outstanding feature of the Islamic Revolution is that in Iran people are the true owners of the revolution and the country is a source of pride and independence for the nation."
